Linz

4.4
Landmarks · Specialty Museums · Churches
Located on the Danube with a rolling green backdrop, Linz is a city equally rich in nature and culture. The Culture Mile along the Danube combines the two. Austria's third city is home to a host of museums, festivals, and churches--some as old as the 800s--and it was named the European Capital of Culture in 2009. Though it was the city where Adolf Hitler spent his youth, Linz has a history as a city of peace, and it works to uphold that reputation. Use our Austria vacation planner to plan your trip to Linz and other destinations in Austria.
