Geologic Formation
Explore the heart of a mountain region at Liechtensteinklamm, a deep ravine nestled in the Austrian Alps. Named in honor of the Prince of Liechtenstein, who spurred the creation of the walkways at the site, the ravine is constantly deepened by the powerful waterfalls that pound the rock. Visit the site and wend your way back into the gorge via the 1 km (0.6 mi) walkway, which you'll also use to return to the entrance. You'll find yourself surrounded by imposing stone walls, some of which rise to a height of 300 m (984 ft) around you, barely leaving room for the footpath and frothing river below. At the end, you'll be rewarded with an up-close view of a crashing cascade. Wear sturdy shoes with good grip, as the constant spray can make the paths slippery. • The Liechtenstein gorge is a super tourist destination for young and old. It offers excitement and fascination. At any time to advise.

  • Even if you have seen other natural gorges around the globe, don't miss this one. Most of the path goes through man-made tunnels with openings in between. The constant sound of roaring water and the a...  more »
  • Fantastic natural experience, to see how thousands of years of erosion have cut their way through fissures and cracks and shaped this beautiful gorge. The local has with respect for nature and the natural course of events, created a path along the entire Gorge, through to the fall from the height where the water comes from. A visit is clearly advisable. Calculate a couple of hours, and came first in the day.

  • More worth seeing than Vintgar Gorge. The walk was easy and short. Even better experience if visiting right after rain.
  • Awesome place , you will enjoy your time , but you have to be fit enough to go there. Remember, there is no access to any sort of cart ( baby's stroller)
  • To Many tourists walking in a row. Payment only by cash. Perfect walking roads. Beautifull waterfalls And big rocks. There are Many other klamms in Austria; Garnitzenklamm, Weisenbachklamm
  • Nice walk up to water fall. Water fall itself maybe not that big but beautiful enough anyway
  • Beauty of the natur. Have to see! Usually crowded.
