  • Several shuttle buses up for € 2 per 30 min and off. Walk up takes approx. 1 hour at bemütlichem pace. Entry for the Christmas market costs €5. The ruin is closed at nightfall. The advent market prices are quite lush, a Med costs €6. The ambience is an experience but is also something of a mass processing.

  • Worth seeing – walk steeply along the donkey trail from the Danube from or through the Woods in 1 hour of Maria Langegg this impressive castle also with a small hike can be combined. Well renovated you can use many wooden stairs and high up to the fabulous views to the Wachau world heritage to enjoy. 900 years changing history can experience cradles on a guided tour, via headset or on the basis of memory boards. The cosy Tavern serves rustic delicacies. Events such as for example the beautiful medieval Adentmarkt held on some weekends. We know the Knight's Hall also already well and attractively from a birthday party. You should have seen the ruins Aggstein really at least once!

  • Very well done renovation of the ruins of this medevial castle. It offers great sights into "Wachau", a nice shop and a charming restaurant with great staff.
  • Very beautiful site! Despite mostly ruins (yet in a very good shape), it opens extremely beautiful views on Danube and on the valley. Highly recommended!
  • Great climbing place nearby. Closeby routes range from V up to at least VIII difficulty. In some cases you have the possibility to descend from the top.
  • Nice place to visit. Great views. Do get the auto guides at admission, prepare for some stairs.
  • Great outlook ... but you can save EUR 6.70 ... you have also a great outlook from outside the Burgruine Aggstein down to the river.
