  • Checked some websites before going but on arrival found out it is only open 9-5 on Sat Sun during November. Some good views though of valley below.
  • You can drive up to the sprawling ruins of the car or stop down in the parking lot and a 2 km walk. On the ruins of the cost, you can freshen up and buy souvenirs in a large shop. Instead, the ruins and the Danube is impressive. I certainly would put a spin the next installment of Harryhp Potter.

  • It is a castle to the Wachau world heritage site. Legend was a robber Knight's stronghold in the castle that had been built in the 12th century, and is now obsolete. A statue near the entrance to a robber Knight eyes out hat on and, like terrorists. Worth a stop just to see from a 300 m high hill over the Danube River and the vineyards spread vallendorf's famous statue of Venus of ancient settlements, on the other side, even.

  • Very well done renovation of the ruins of this medevial castle. It offers great sights into "Wachau", a nice shop and a charming restaurant with great staff.
  • Very beautiful site! Despite mostly ruins (yet in a very good shape), it opens extremely beautiful views on Danube and on the valley. Highly recommended!
  • Great climbing place nearby. Closeby routes range from V up to at least VIII difficulty. In some cases you have the possibility to descend from the top.
  • Nice place to visit. Great views. Do get the auto guides at admission, prepare for some stairs.
  • Great outlook ... but you can save EUR 6.70 ... you have also a great outlook from outside the Burgruine Aggstein down to the river.
