Must see · Auto Race Track · Tourist Spot
The Red Bull Ring is a motorsport race track in Spielberg, Styria, Austria.
The race circuit was founded as Österreichring (translation: Austrian Circuit) and hosted the Austrian Grand Prix for 18 consecutive years, from 1970 to 1987. It was later shortened, rebuilt and renamed the A1-Ring (A Eins-Ring), and it hosted the Austrian Grand Prix again from 1997 to 2003. When Formula One outgrew the circuit, a plan was drawn up to extend the layout. Parts of the circuit, including the pits and main grandstand, were demolished, but construction work was stopped and the circuit remained unusable for several years before it was purchased by Red Bull's Dietrich Mateschitz and rebuilt. Renamed the Red Bull Ring the track was reopened on 15 May 2011 and subsequently hosted a round of the 2011 DTM season and a round of the 2011 F2 championship. Formula One returned to the circuit in the 2014 season.

  • Very good, Very nice place, at the time of races there are more visitors, but that is part of it, I recommend to visit  more »
  • This circuit is built in Autrian's mountains. You have a wonderful view from all the side of the circuit. A enormous parking place not so far from the entrance (10 min walking) Needs to be discovered!  more »
  • Great race track we completely enjoyed the MotoGP today but book your hotel room early As we did not and only hotel we could find was an hour away by Villach, the drive in there was almost no traffic....  more »
  • Beautiful facility. Set in green surroundings. Came for a driving experience. Great welcome center with a great exhibition of redbull F1 cars and other cars . Cafeteria, big fan shop. Extremely recommended if your in the area. Can't wait to see here the Austrian F1 one day...
  • Incredible experience! Fantastic venue for the F1. Loads to do and see! Staffing and facilities were top notch too. Would recommend getting there early to find some shade around the track otherwise bring umbrellas and loads of sun cream! Would give it a 7 star if I could!
  • There are so many fantastic places to view the action from. The track is set in a beautiful forest and television simply does not do it justice, nor the significant elevation changes. I love my home Grand Prix, Melbourne, but the layout lacks the added spice of ascents and descents that are in abundance here. The 'cashless card' system streamlines purchases and I was fortunate enough to encounter many English speakers working at the event.
  • It was my first F1 Austria Grand Prix 2019. I was in the green zone of general admission between 2th and 3rd turns on the top. There is a nice view on a big part of circuit. And you can see circuit very close. The traffic regulation was fantastic. In 15 minutes we left Spielberg from parking. The race was very interesting
  • Amazing track with a lot of stuff to do when the F1 season arrives Spielberg. Be sure to pay the extra to have a seat at the grandstand or somewhere else and having access to all the areas would make the whole experience much better. Not as good of an experience when you can't access half of the stuff available. So do not buy only General Admission.
