Historic Site
Pause in the center of Salzburg to admire Kapitelplatz & Kapitelschwemme, a courtyard with an 18th-century fountain. The fountain, featuring a statue of Neptune on a seahorse, was built in 1732 on the site where a horse pond had stood since the Middle Ages. Historical buildings like a cathedral, St. Peter's monastery, and old mills surround the square. Snap some pictures with the sea god, find a spot to sit and people-watch, or join a game of oversized chess. • I felt very lonely man takes brilliant daytime hours also looks flashy, but darkens at dusk begins to reverse the stand alone in the corner of the square. I forgot where I saw somewhere so have male images and female image pair. Seems peculiar sphere of gold found gold coin in the decoration of buildings in Vienna. It may be surprising and Austria, the Golden Ball is often the motif.

  • Incredibly beautiful. The square is surrounded by the Cathedral, by the Monastery and the cemetery, all right in the heart of the old centre of the city. the view to the mountains is amazing. The font is beautiful, but unfortunately was under construction when I went. What most caught my attention was the sculpture "Sphaera" by artist Stephan Balkenhol, representing a Golden Ball and an ordinary man on it. Tour not to be missed!

  • Get it even if you don't like saying all roads lead you to piazza nothing special apart from the fountain. You see the Castle, the fortress with its cable car, the statue of the man with the Golden ball that I always wonder what you remember. The benches where people sit to cool off and rest.
