  • Unless you have more time on your hands than you know what to do with, I would give this one a miss and go to the Festung or the Mozart houses or do some shopping. Although the premises are vast, ther...  more »
  • The Cathedral quarter combines several important buildings of such as residence and Cathedral of Salzburg's old town. Look, there are the sumptuous baroque residence with Gallery, then it goes through a viewing platform to the Cathedral upstairs with other museums and then through more galleries by the Chamber of wonders back to the starting point. It is hardly possible to consider all featured, but every visitor should explore all areas of at least on the first visit. The audio guide is very helpful.

  • Just before the main doors of the cathedral, you’ll see the entrance to the museum, which does have a fee. It’s a large museum which goes over several levels of the cathedral and attached buildings. It has an excellent collection of artwork and treasures, including some significant religious relics. You can also see some of the state rooms. It's really worth the time if you are interested in religious history.
  • Nice place to admire the architecture of museums. Other than galleries and historical stuff, the other thing to admire is of course the architecture of the building itself.
  • I loved this museum. It's audio tour is sequential and informative and within an hour's time, I've gained enough historical knowledge to better appreciate Salzburg as a city,
  • Another museum which is very grand and I would like to add that the architecture of this museum is superbly unique so if you're not interested in art and what not, admire the building itself
  • History of the residence of the Prince-Archbishops given on the audio guide and nice gallery of paintings.
