  • The Organization of the route of Cistus through the Residenz, Cathedral and other, is very well done and allows to know the history of Salzburg and its Prince-Bishops, who were also patrons.

  • You can easily spend 2-3 hours with an audio guide admiring diverse exhibitions and the architecture
  • Just before the main doors of the cathedral, you’ll see the entrance to the museum, which does have a fee. It’s a large museum which goes over several levels of the cathedral and attached buildings. It has an excellent collection of artwork and treasures, including some significant religious relics. You can also see some of the state rooms. It's really worth the time if you are interested in religious history.
  • History of the residence of the Prince-Archbishops given on the audio guide and nice gallery of paintings.
  • My friend and I arrived at 4:01, they didn't let us in for being 1 min late. Very frustrating.
  • I loved this museum. It's audio tour is sequential and informative and within an hour's time, I've gained enough historical knowledge to better appreciate Salzburg as a city,
