  • The true and typical local brewery, as it once was. Fantastic beer. Atypical food to buy on small shops along the corridors. The atmosphere is the BREWERY. Leave children and wives with the stench under the nose. Here we drink, we smoke, we celebrate out loud, walking in places where beer is everywhere, even on the ground. In fact, the beer is served at the table, but they range from Brewer to have it bone straight from the barrel. And if he dosnt know where does the beer? Fantastic local time.

  • Honestly, I hate beer! But here came this brewery purely out of interest as a traveller because traveled with friends in the bus tour. Guide advised this place as the most popular institution in the city. And we briefly thinking by people so 20 (all girls) set off on his quest. Looking for long, as Mozart's bridge to go was far, but walk to us was "+". So what I want to say this is awesome-Augustin pub in the Centre of Salzburg with the sea of different beers and great circles. I don't understand all of the beer cases, but such a system, I saw for the first time!) Such a system: you get to the cashier, select from the drop-down menu of beer and snacks to it, you pay for it all and come with tickets to a private room with a bunch of shelves on which are the same beer mugs. All these mugs cost clean washed by selecting any of them, you come into the next room where there is something similar to the fountain where descend mugs and rinse with cold clean water. I don't know what it was, and I hope that the mugs really clean and not washed this way and then you get to the bartender who looks your cheque pour the beer that you bought. Well, further case for small to find the place and sit down to enjoy the taste of beer. The trick is this institution that places so much that fit there may all of Salzburg. In General, for beer lovers and other things definitely worth to visit this place!)

  • We went on a warm evening in May and we were not disappointed. We got in line to get our beer mugs and paid a very reasonable price, you had to be quick in handing over your mug as they very quickly f...  more »

  • One of the oldest and most interesting beer gardens in Salzburg, the "Bräustübl" is something you have to experience as long as the weather is nice and you can sit outside. Indoors is interesting as well, but quite noisy. What you do is - you bring your own food and while one of your party members guards the table like a precious treasure (what it is when the weather is nice), the others go get the beer at the bar. Pay the cashier to get a ticket - pick your mug, rinse it at the fountain and have the guy at the counter fill it up in exchange for the ticket. The "food court" is interesting and I suggest you get a couple fresh pretzels and some of the spirally cut radishes they sell. You can also try some of the other stuff, but be careful with the shop at the end of the corridor that sells the egg salad and sausage mayonnaise stuff... My friends and I stay away from them for a reason.
  • Most incredible and unique beer hall/garden I have ever been to. The beer was excellent. Service and staff were friendly and very helpful.
  • This place is amazing for many reasons. The grounds are beautiful and include wonderful outdoor areas. Inside there are tons of locals and cool little food stands where you can buy anything you want to eat. The best part is the fresh and amazing Marzen they brew here. It's one of my favorite beers ever, and I only get it when I visit this brewery.
  • Simply the best beer on earth. No after taste. And follow in the legacy of the monks who have done it for more than ~800 years.
  • What a beautiful beer garden, the tree give a nice canopy and shade from the sun and heat. The beer was really smooth and could be bought in .5L and 1L!! There are a lot of food choices also in case you're not into drinking.
