  • The ski area "Saalbach / Leogang / Fieberbrunn" is incredibly large and offers something for skiers of all skill levels. Since the merger with Fieberbrunn it has become even more attractive. It can be reached toll-free from Germany via Lofer or the Walchsee. The staff are usually friendly. The 8.4.17 my encounters were not optimal: all devices for the debit card payment were out at the cash desk of the Shadow Mountain Express ´. And on the question of whether one should use the ski bus also after submission of the ski pass subject to deposit, I got as a reply: "That would have to go." Are you or are you not?! The ski bus was on time, but only every 20 minutes. The shelter situation is also not optimal for me: most terraces are beschallt by the music. This sucks! Many cabins and hotels were already closed, the pedestrian zone of Saalbach as extinct and après ski no trace! Mid-April even barely 19 70 lists are open from the many lifts, Fieberbrunn and Leogang were not reachable to ski in Saalbach. In other words: 27%. The day ski pass costs but still € 36.50 (instead of flabby € 52,-in high season). These are 70% of the price! As much is wrong in costing pretty. I'm writing, because the slopes in a miserable state were! Partially saw through the Earth, and the artificial snow was soggy. There also the hours preparation at night doesn't help. The "slope" is a white band in brown green landscape and here, a ski resort is held too long life hanging by a thread. Conclusion should be no later than mid-March with skiing. It would be better for the image and the nature!
