  • This place has it all! Situated in the Austrian Alps, Ehrenberg is the largest of several castle ruins at this site. Take the suspension footbridge across the gorge and over the highway to see it all....  more »

  • Beautiful landscapes in beautiful view when you go up however predict of good walking shoes and do not climb in heels! You will not be able to access the bridge... too bad to go for nothing... Really very nice to see the view from the ruins of the Castle!

  • Great location. Rooms are very nice. Great for kids. Restaurant has delicious food. Highline bridge, museums, and hiking make it the best place for a stay. Ski resorts only 15 mins away.
  • Ruins of the castle, was a bit difficult to visit it in the winter time. But it was nice, it is a place with a spirit..
  • We were actually on our way to Neuschwanstein but saw the Highlane from the Autobahn and thought we would make a quick stop. For 8€ you can go for a hike up to the ruin which is super nice. The few from there is breathtaking - especially with good weather. It’s not a very touristic place which makes the whole experience so much better. Right next to the ruin you can cross the Highlane to the other side. People started putitng there ‚locks‘ on that bridge - If I would have known i would have brought a lock with me as well. The experience was incredible, the view breathtaking and the weather perfect! I didn’t even know we had something like this in Austria - definitely a must-do!
  • restaurant, parking, toilet - everything what you need
  • Nice and quiet
