  • About what in the past to a village of Burgenland belonged, such as: anger and pond, Wirtshaus (active), school, cinema, customs guard, Gypsy wagon, municipal office, fire department, workshops of craftsmen, shops, farming, Milchhaus, Grist Mill, wine cellar, Church (active), etc. is here lovingly constructed and exhibited. Here, the family Haubenwallner has collected interesting objects for the "history" and rebuilt very identical. "Josef H." founder of the museum village = can you restless, meet on the bike in the whole village. A visit to this museum village may be recommended. One is thrilled!

  • The village Museum shows and explains many crafting professions and their tools, the type and how you lived before not too long and historical contexts. Absolutely worth seeing.

  • the Burgenland municipality Mönchhof with its Village Museum in railway Street 62 located about 60 km from Vienna. The route is well signposted and easy to reach. The ticket price is €9 for adults, 6.-€ for seniors children up to 6 free. The Museum is open during the months of April to October. This museum speaks for itself and you need of really any guidance, it is divided into different categories and set up. Including a reconstructed border crossing between 1956 Hungarian revolution, village square, connoisseurs, doctor, prison, school, Schuster, Sattler and div. craftsmen even an own parish church and cemetery and many interesting from the last time. A little rest in the Guest House of the village is also worth a stop. This museum has been put together with a lot of love and patience and my opinion is unique and a little insider tip.

  • The village Museum is really interesting. Although the front part of the plant is less exciting than the rear part for my taste, but very good to write a whole is the village. The atmosphere has something of historical Entdeckertum but also by discomfort when you consider that by far not as good happened to the own ancestors as us.

  • A very interesting Museum of Austrian villages. Exhibits breathe history, go to this Museum and wonder how far we've come from this way of life. Everything in the Museum seems simple, but how everything is. Even the old Trabant car, old bikes, old houses facing the phonebooth, machinery and equipment for processing fields and vineyards. In a word very much, as if on a time machine we moved back.

  • UNIQUE! A village as it was earlier. The Wurlitzer in the tavern of 1949 is a hit and fully functional. You will learn how the people at the time lived. Tischler.Bäcker.Maler.Landmaschinenmechaniker.Hutmacher.Schneider. doctors and much more.
