  • And we liked the Castle. Stands on a cliff, the outside looks dignified as befits an old, not even medieval, Castle. Founded in the 12nd century, since little is left is often destroyed and restored, the last time the first 20 century but all restorations have maintained the original appearance, so in effect he was at the beginning. We visited with a guide, which made an interesting sightseeing tour of the Chateau. Exhibits a bit for self-examination would be maloinformativno, it was interesting to learn how. lived in the Castle, where they slept and how to keep warm as, sorry, celebrate different needs. Belonged at different times to different people, again now family of Liechtenstein. Interesting Castle.

  • The castle is situated on top of a hill, which is accessible on foot for long enough. But if you love long walks, you will find: as soon as you arrive at the station of Maria Jercendorf, you need to take to the road, walk to the traffic lights and turn left. Get on pretty narrow, but very long Street, go along it decently, pointers to the Castle you will not see for a long time. After a while you see a pointer to the burg and Lichtenshtein pointer that it is 1.5 km away. Keep in mind that these 1.5 km uphill, go on the highway. I therefore recommend that you take along water and prepare morally (not steep mountain)))). Next, when you reach the point where you see in front of the barrier and expensive turns down, you need to go straight through the barrier, and to the right. There you go to the field with Glade Castle is not visible. You must reach the end of the meadow and descend on a narrow track running through the Mall and go as a back. When you reach the end you see it, the Castle. The goal has been achieved. )) It is charged 10 euros. Me he liked, an ancient castle, it is the spirit of history, no spirit of restoration or renovation. Everything looks as it was during the reign of princes who lived in this castle.

  • Lichtenstein Castle is a gem! Admission is 8 euros per person and the guide is included in the price. The management is top notch! It recommends is more likely to be greater, because the groups are later there early in the. We were 4, it was like a private tour!

  • Burg Liechtenstein is the most picturesque castles from the outside and extremely cozy from the inside. No wonder was featured in the three musketeers movie! The tour guide was very humble and informative, walking us through the lineage depicting their lives at different stages of history. A beautiful view of the landscaping from the castle! An awesome experience. A must do!!
  • One if the most picturesque castles around Vienna, if not most of Austria. Surrounded by a beautiful park, nice playground for children and ample hiking possibilities, it's a great destination for a weekend outing with family. And the tour is also quite interesting and fun. Good English tour guide.
  • Great view, very well preserved, and the guide was super informed and funny. Definitely worth seeing.
  • I've seen several castles before but most of which were built primarily for defense and war, Burg Liechtenstein on the other hand is the first castle I've visited that is a living castle. This gives it a more cheery and cozy feel than most. It's interesting to note as well that this was actually the first castle of the Princes of Liechtenstein and that it is currently under their ownership as well. The guided tour grants you access to the inside of the castle where magnificent views of the landscaped park and of Vienna can be seen, while giving you both a quick overview of the history of the family and also that of the way of life in those ages.
  • Nice place and castle too. Interesting reconstruction, you can see romanian basement of castle. Thx for english guide just for me 😁
