  • We have spent a few days in the Waldviertel and Maissau in the Amethyst world made inter alia a trips. You get a plan of the plant and can explore different stations. We had a tour in the exhibition galleries and have heard a lot of interesting things about the band Amethyst. Then we looked at various stations in the garden. For children, there is still a playground, a deer park and a prospecting course. The plant is pulled up very professionally, of course, there is also a shop and a café. BB´s liked us! Tip: Take NÖ-card!

  • For what is offered, which is "Amethyst world" [sic] completely overpriced. For children, the possibility is perhaps interesting to "dig" for Amethyst. With the exhibitions, they are overwhelmed, what when we visited some by disruptive shouting "announced". There are two guides (Amethyst studs and stone house), we visited both. When we then came out from the Amethyst studs and went to the House, we had to find that the next tour starts there in 45 min. "Great" trick to lure visitors to the shop and the cafe. Very annoying, here the organisation should be improved urgently. Conclusion: 18 EUR, if you book both tours, is money badly spent for what is available.

  • Especially for families with children an entertaining pleasure. Also searching after amethysts thrilled young and old. Rather more fun than science, priced a bit too high, especially the admission of children

  • Nice place for family trip. Guided tours are not in English what is such a shame. Personal mining experience was the best.
  • Don't go there if you prefer a scientific approach to minerals. They had this strange nostalgic-esoteric focus, like lecturing you about which nobleman attributed which healing power to the stones and whatnot.. Might be fun for the kids, who can dig for minerals, but for us it was kind of a let-down.
  • Very nice with children, nice playground, ca you can schedule already 4 h. Entry only for the guided tours and the Amethyst mining, much is free accessible. Mini café with snacks.

  • Educational concept implemented up to date professionally and extensively on the subject of Geology with a focus on regional rocks. Therefore not only dull pebbles knocker entertaining exhibits thanks to good guides and watchable. Well done.

  • Nothing for professional researchers - rather for the interested average. For the price of admission is slightly too high € 18 per adult for tunnels or Stonehouse. The treasure in the treasure hunter box is recommended for children! The lead is somewhat boring for the kids, it would be preferable to include these at present children better. Extra to go from Vienna not worth it - if it is on the way as we pays the entrance fee. Even better with the NÖ da card - an entry is included in the price.
