  • A nice place for a weekend visit, especially if you are with kids. The guided tours in the mine and the exhibition are only in german. Very interesting attraction for the kids is to dig for minerals. The gardens are also nice and free for access.
  • Nice place for family trip. Guided tours are not in English what is such a shame. Personal mining experience was the best.
  • Don't go there if you prefer a scientific approach to minerals. They had this strange nostalgic-esoteric focus, like lecturing you about which nobleman attributed which healing power to the stones and whatnot.. Might be fun for the kids, who can dig for minerals, but for us it was kind of a let-down.
  • Interesting show about the Amethyst occurrence around Maissau. Tour only with. Unfortunately a large part of the leadership via video wall. Also an interesting exhibition on gems is to visit. 😞😞 The goods offered in the shop not come - apart from individual exceptions - from Austria. 😞😞

  • A lot of people. Small children anyway, not the sense understand children scream around only, man understands hardly anything either see something, because during the guided tour at 11: 00, 80 people were, and all huddle just before. Very poorly organized many people on a guided tour in and simply too much of. Never again!!!
