Great place for a walk! Arrived 11:30,had early lunch at restaurant (simple food) as we have 2x young children (2+4). The walk up the hill was shattering, mainly when you're lumbered with pushing your lazy daughter in her buggy! Entire round walk took about 2 hours. (up to the restaurant) great views up there. Much more fun going close at the bottom of the waterfall, getting quite wet. Kids loved this. Visited Friday 17th June.
Horrible tourist trap. You want to park 5 Euro an hour. You want to walk on the trail to the waterfall past all of the sickening tourist souvenir stands, 5 Euro. You want to go to the bathroom, 3 Euro. NOTE: You can drive a few minutes past the tourist trap and get nice views of the falls without wasting money and wading through throngs of tourists on buses.
Impressive waterfall. You get there by a nice walk through the forest. A must see if you visit Salzburg state.
Fabulous location. The view is breathtaking. The climb is a bit tedious but it is every bit worth it.
Amazing, love the noise.
