  • The Triumphpforte has great historical value for the city. Built in 1765 by Maria Teresa to celebrate the marriage of your son, the Duke of Tuscany. Although it was created for the marriage and symbolize a moment of joy, during the festivities of the wedding, the husband of Empress Maria Theresa, Kaiser Franz I, died. The occasion took a somber tone. The Triumphpforte captures both emotions effectively. The north façade of the monument is dedicated to the mourning of the deceased Kaiser Franz I. The South front is dedicated to bridal Union.

  • The old city is full of surprises and this little gem heralds the start of the old town. Looks amazing at night, especially with the Christmas lights down the street.  more »
  • View from the north side of the gate comes from Maria Theresia Street in the downtown area and only in the end and is easy to come around to the South side, please look at. When weather is nice and there are majestic mountains behind the gate. Also, the North will not be lit day. Are lit up at night.
