  • If I'm in Innsbruck (of course not in winter ;-)) coming out every time happy because firstly, the way is there very pleasant, back in the Botanical Garden in the old town, across the bridge, left about Maria Hilf at the old elementary school and the cemetery past upwards. Secondly you can in the botanical garden very fine sitting awhile, read, write cards, or just in front of him to dream. In the greenhouse, there are changing exhibitions, this cost entry however and there is also very limited open. It gives me pleasure to wander through this wonderful little Empire and my favorite places to visit, such as the water-spouting frogs, or the rock garden, where you can watch always lots of small lizards sunbathe and take pictures easily. A bus also stops at the lower entrance, but he is quite rare. From the railway station of Hötting, it is also not very far if someone from Scharnitz/Seefeld here.

  • Situated overlooking Innsbruck, I found the University's Botanical Garden (one of 2000 worldwide) was a steep uphill walk, about 18-20 minutes away from the city centre. Expect to see a lot of green i...  more »

  • nice small garden. you're even allowed to pick a small amount of wild garlic for free
  • A small but nice garden, there are species for alk around the world. It would be nicer if they would close later and have some place for laying.
  • Beautiful place!
  • Very pretty.
  • Just beautiful, so much to see, the people are very nice, super photos make. If there is you should necessarily in the greenhouses, they have but unfortunately only rarely open.

Where to stay in Innsbruck

The Alpine gem of Austria, Innsbruck offers a surprising amount of reasonably priced accommodations for its size. Look for hostels and hotels in the medieval center. Another option is to stay above the city on the Hungerburg Plateau, where you’ll find Alpine hotels with panoramic views from each room. If you're traveling on a budget, look for lodging in private homes throughout the city: rent a room or the entire house for a local stay.
