Scream your way through turns, dips, and jumps all backed by mountain scenery at Alpine Coaster, the longest of its kind in the world. Hop aboard the coaster, beginning 1,500 m (4,921 ft) above sea level, and hang on tight as the power of gravity propels you more than 3.5 km (2.2 mi) down the mountainside. You can use your brake pedals to help control your speed, affording you a better view of the surrounding valleys, peaks, and alpine terrain. Prepare yourself for some of the sizable jumps that pepper the course, which get the adrenaline pumping as they drop you up to 5 m (16 ft) in an instant. Grab the chair lift from Hoch-Imst to get up to the start of the coaster. For travelers who use our custom trip planner, Imst holidays become easier to arrange, with trips to the Alpine Coaster and other attractions mapped out and timetabled.

However, you should be patient, it is often very crowded, but as I said, worth the wait in any case!
Went with a group of Scouts on a cold July day (only 10 degrees C) in the rain. It was a bit cold for shorts, but at least the cable cars are covered. The cable car ride gives you a feel for how long ... more »

Rules which are many are only in German but that if prices, which is what you want, are perfectly explained in English. Once you have the ticket start problems if backpacks, that if the age of the children, there was no tail but as above if everything there... problems acceptable if the staff had minimal touch and waist (almost impossible here) when you arrive. The case is that by his clumsiness in a situation that is difficult to describe and quite surreal ended our children alone at the top with an operator gritandoles and finally had to get one child accompanied by a friendly Muslim tourist who was which actually resolved an issue that the Organization had created and was not able to solve. Modes of the worker apart from overflowing rudeness a bad English, were especially nasty in that they were aimed at young people and children between 4 and 16 years without the presence of the responsible adults and with a more than racist "tufilllo" distributed to the Spaniards and Muslims were assembled at the attraction.
Toller alpin coaster
ski enviroment (9km) from 1000 to 2100 m. Ski bus needed to get there from Imst.
Kids loved it - great way to come down the hill. Recommend getting in a run or two before the lines start just after noon.
Great views from the mountain, but wouldn't call the alpine coaster a thrill ride!
Nice adventure going down the alpine coaster in a beautiful scenery. Offering a great view during the ride.
