  • Lake Neusiedl I highly recommend to visit, in particular as this relates to the National Park. North Lake (from Podesdorfu on) is a tourist and crowded, but the area around Illmitz is a fairy tale. Stay directly in it and you have a plethora of animals for observation from morning to night. The area could probably pass through on foot, but the ideal is to have a bike (but on a smooth ride to forget, if you are interested in animals, they are everywhere). The area is a total badge and there are a few backbone of asphalt paths and then a series of dusty and even a few purely off-road. Everywhere there are accessible vantage point. What game is concerned, there is the main the Lake Neusiedl. This is from Illmitz road, is built at the end of the parking lot and the beach. During the day, is valid input (perhaps the lowest we have seen at the Lake), and the afternoon is already freely accessible gateway. For swimming but it is the perfect place. The beach is built in a lake and there is not such a shallow area, and you can now swim. The place is clean and the wheels you can have all the time. The wildlife is then used the area between Illmitzem and Lake Neusiedl region for Illmitzem around the Lange Lacke. Sanctuary for birds are numerous bodies of water (Lacke), dozens of them. During the two days we've seen: herons, stilt, extremely, pheasants, Hungarian cattle, the horse had lived historically, white donkeys, wild rabbits and ubiquitous Hare and wild geese. Is there really a lot of and the area around Illmitz is worth a ride across, you will be thrilled.

  • as members of the park staff told me that it is there for all. must I again speak sadly on the clearest. for cyclists, much is done but, has anyone ever thought of disabled people? in the observation huts no seating and in tiny number the hiking and cycling trails along. I think that a consideration would be worth this time, because everyone can catch a mobility problems, so think their directors.
