Outdoor Activity
The Hohe Salve is a well-known mountain located between Kufstein, Wörgl and Kitzbühel in the Austrian state of Tyrol. It is part of the Kitzbühel Alps and is also nicknamed the Rigi of the Tyrol. Its summit is high, and in fine weather has a good view of the High Tauern and Zillertal Alps, as well as the Wilder Kaiser, which lies immediately to the north of the Hohe Salve. From the top the Großglockner and Großvenediger can also be made out.CharacteristicsThe mountain has a very striking conical appearance. On the summit is an old pilgrimage chapel, a restaurant and a transmission mast. In addition the peak is served by two gondola lifts from Söll and Hopfgarten. The summit restaurant and church belong to the parish of Westendorf; the transmission mast to Hopfgarten. In winter the Hohe Salve is part of the Skiwelt Wilder Kaiser/Brixental ski region and there are several runs from the top into the surrounding villages of Söll, Itter, Hopfgarten and Brixen im Thale.

  • Best hotel ever ! Great gym, with healthy drinks to recover after the training. The restaurant is superb ! 5 course dinner. Large room. Great shower. Very good mattress. The spa area the also great. Large saunas, good relaxation area. Indoor and out door worm pool. Breakfast is wonderful. Freshly self made vegetables juice. Great way to start the day.
  • Location is great, service is top of the class, sleeping quality best I experienced. Excellent value for money
  • Very nice. Nice staff. Unfortunately due to their astonishingly quick build and new staff, the restaurant staff had not communicated with each other about dietary issues. Rooms were nice however and spa, pool, gym are great.
  • Stay with you was truly "excellent". From the front to rear, there were really just little things that you could find fault, and all at a high level. The staff was very friendly and incredibly helpful. The advice on excursions etc. was great and the staff were without exception flexible and spontaneous. You could tell that all try to make our guests stay as good as possible - it worked! The rooms are amazing. We got - without demand, easy-to - upgrade. Bright, great rooms, great beds, a wide balcony, only high-quality materials. Super lots of storage space, the bathroom big enough for a large family ;-) Missing only a mini bar or water glasses in the room and a trash can under the desk. The location is perfect. Great to achieve, free parking, the car in front of the nose (which you can't hear but) and the lift to the Hohe Salve directly on the other side of the road car. The corner is super suitable for cycling and hiking tours. Then we went to dinner. In the half-board dinner with 5 is (basically 6) includes courses. The quality is excellent, we no longer had such good food in a hotel already long. With soup, main course and dessert, two or three dishes are available, so that everyone should find something suitable. The dishes were so delicious that they are rather could not decide, because everything tasted. Unfortunately, on the first day, the greeting was somewhat bumpy. At the entrance to the restaurant is a plaque indicating that it is accompanied to the place. However, we were not picked up after a few minutes, and were themselves on the way. Unfortunately, also our seating requests were not considered, what then but quickly changed, so then things were going well. The cuisine is excellent, however the service personnel, however, drops slightly. Some staff are very experienced, relaxed and strong in the service, however, act or similar uncertain (possibly) temporary staff / students (and are) ;-)) anyway very nice. Here is the only thing which struck us, the service around the restaurant has some air upwards. The other hotel facilities were also excellent. Wheels and walking sticks can be borrowed, the gym is a dream and actually has everything you need, "modern" training. The two swimming pools offer plenty of space and the Spa is perfectly equipped with sauna, bio-sauna, steam bath and infrared cabin. There's also a plunge pool and a Kneipp path out there. Here only slightly unhappy - Spa is textile-free, therefore also outside. However the guests in bathing suits, that felt swim right next to it without privacy then but something strange is (I think all in all for the clothed ones ;-)) I can only recommend the hotel. We had a really nice stay. The small inconvenience hardly detract from the enjoyment of the accommodation, but also easy to change. We should once again be near, we look at past security for 1-2 nights and will report our friends, too - so that the accommodation can establish itself outside the ski season :-) Again all employees thank you great to one the weekend have made and continue to :-)

  • Despite the size and the clear focus on skiers (directly at the valley station), enough comfort and Austrian hospitality remains to be felt.
