  • What did the Jews ago, which has in particular the inhabitants formerly of Austria and Vorarlberg unfortunately there also a contribution to. This is quite evident in the museum. Also much earlier is the history of the presence of a Jewish Community clarified.

  • We found the museum by chance trying to get to Altach before a football match... However with an afternoon to spare, this was an absorbing way to spend a few hours, particularly as we have family which had to leave Austria in the 1930s (from Lockenhaus in Burgenland). The Hohenems Judisches Museum is superbly curated and presented in a way which holds ones interest throughout. it is tragic that the town needs a museum to remind the world of its once thriving Jewish community but this particular museum does it with great dignity and Care.
  • A wonderful little museum showing why Jews came to the area, how they lived there and why they left. Audio is available in German and English. They also have a little coffee shop with great coffee and Jewish pastries.
  • A place to learn history. Great special shows. Go forth and never forget.
