Where to stay in Graz

Austria’s second-largest city offers a large selection of accommodation options for every type of traveler. Outside of the city’s core in the Lend district are more affordable lodgings. Roughly a ten-minute walk to the Altstadt, this area provides an economical alternative while still keeping you close to the attractions. If you’re willing to compromise on privacy, the best prices are in private accommodations in local homes. Often this means sharing a bathroom with other guests and occasionally even the homeowners. • Excellent selection but horrendously overpriced. Like with K&Ö clothing, what most people seem to do is use it as place to try things on/out, and then look up the exact model online and buy it from somewhere else. In that sense, it's a wonderful free service to use, but I can't believe people would actually hand over money for anything in that place. Also, K&Ö promised the city of Graz it would put a bronze roof on when it renovated, so as not to ruin the view from the Schlossberg - seven years on and it still hasn't done it. Scum.
  • Great service and a sophisticated atmosphere. Be prepared for high prices though.
