  • A visit is very advisable especially if one is interested in for the history of the Habsburgs during a tour through the Castle. In the extensive Castle Park, you can let your mind wander, the quiet Park site has a beautiful old trees and is just fantastic!

  • ON the other side of the Danube almost in front of the stele dedicated to the Emperor Marcus Aurelius, stands this hunting lodge where abdicated in 1919 the last emperor of the dynasty of the Habsburgs, Charles. Vienna comes to consume his first major disaster. The second will happen in 1938 with the Anschluss.

  • Quite and nice place for quick walk.
  • Lovley, during every season. Brilliant to visit on a trip to Schloß niederweiden and courtyard. The area just contains many empirial locations like Schloß niederweiden where FJ BB´s hunting grounds were. Castle Eckartsau Emperor Charles I renounced the state transactions in 1918. Great hunting trophies hall.
