  • The building of the castle is located on the years 1560-1592, a medieval fortress in the Nibelungengau near the Danube. mentioned in 1263 the today existing Renaissance equipment goes back to later renovations and new buildings. After multiple change of possession and acquisition by the Austrian Imperial House, and in between, in the possession of the Republic, the castle today is family-owned. Characteristic are the 5 towers which overlook the building; worth seeing are also the castle garden with its beautiful flowers, the Schloss-café with its sun terrace, the souvenir shop. Vault and exhibition, the Baroque church. Please note opening hours, guided tours are offered (Archduke Ferdinand Museum).

  • Magnificent Castle. Visit with a very interesting guide. Simple but very authentic Museum. Believed to be in place. And thanks again to the Countess for his very warm.

  • Castle and Park are a feast for the eyes. The showrooms with focus of Habsburg (the heir to the throne murdered couple) are very well designed.

  • One of the best tours we have been on. We went for a private tour with a guide (Ruth) who explained everything incredible well. This helped us fully understand the life of Franz Ferdinand and his family. The museum is very well laid out from the Crypt to the final room which shows his last day in Sarajevo. The cafe is also a perfect place to take in the atmosphere of the garden and surrounding view Franz Ferdinand and family would have enjoyed. A real must see place.
  • This is a very interesting place. If you are in this area stop by its worth a look. The museum, chapel and crypt are well maintained and presented. Nice grounds surrounding the castle with a good outlook.
  • super
  • Fantastic castle with a magnificent park! Best 2-3 hour schedule, to explore all alone (with Guide!). The cafe, where especially attentive service with fantastic drinks is very recommended!

  • Suitable for Emperor fans. The Director has much knowledge of the Empire. Only she talking about something a lot and often repeated. Schedule some time!
