  • One of the best Zoo's I've been to. The safari tour is great and on a hot summers day it can kind of feel like your in Africa. There is nothing worse then Zoo's that feel cramped with animals that look sad and 'trapped'. Werribee has the space needed to give them the environment they need. Other things that make this a great Zoo is the layout and the other facilities there. There is one main place to eat by the entrance that does a limited menu, but quite decent food for a high volume tourist attraction... There are also a number of smaller food spots as you make your way around the grounds. A Zoo pass is also really good value and is valid for many other parks in Vic and (I think) a few other States).
  • Such a great place! Went to the 'zoovies' and had a great time. Events are well organised and fun.
  • The improvements have almost finished and the extra parking appreciated, the lion cubs have grown and the meerkat area upgraded. The staff are well informed and friendly.I spent the whole day and enjoyed everything. Please note you can no longer get up close to the window at the lion enclosure due to cubs getting over excited so bring long lens and filters for photos, the safari bus is great best to catch around 3pm other wise depending on who you get its rushed.Visit hippos around 4pm for great shots most times or come first thing in the morning. The Werribee Zoo just keeps getting better with each visit, this time my favourite images would be the Zebras as I had a chance to see them up close on other visits they have been to far away.Recommend to all photographers and artists .
  • LOVED it. You can get really up close to beautiful animals and the tour guides have the most interesting facts and stories. Incredible experience.
  • Zoo's don't get much better than this. The hippos have one of the sweetest cribs I have layed eyes on. The tour round the big paddock in the super bus was great. There's even a little water park. Bring the kids swimmers and let them have some fun.
