Trees such as myrtle beech, sassafras and soft tree fern as well as large shrubs like hazel pomaderris are fairly common in this zone. On the higher slopes sub-alpine species such as woollybutt and snowgum predominate, although myrtle beech is also common almost to the summit.

  • Really enjoyed watching the sunset come down from here, and managed to capture some great pictures. Great place!  more »
  • I enjoyed walking through the bush trails, which there are many to chose from. There’s also a high observation tower you can climb up and see over the Yarra Valley.  more »
  • Unfortunately we went on a day of low cloud/mist so couldn't see much at all. The tower war eerily beautiful raising as it does into the clouds. If we had time we would have returned on a clearer day....  more »

  • One of the best driving areas in Victoria with great views and high speed, windy roads. If you plan on going up and around the area for a drive try to avoid events unless you want to watch the annual rally event or partake in the tobogganing in winter.
  • One of the best driving areas in vectoria with great views ❄️🇦🇺
  • Amazing and beautiful mountain. This gem is so close to Melbourne being approx 1.5 hours from the CBD. During the winter the peak receives snow and there are tobagoning hills with a lookout at the top of the mountain. Keep your eyes peeled because on your way up you might be lucky enough to see the elusive lyre bird and sambar deer. The best part of the mountain is the amazing spring 3/4 of the way up which offers the purest and best quality drinking water available in Victoria. Bring your empty bottles and make sure to fill up!
  • Haven't been there for years but was always nice
  • Great fun and tobogganing. family friendly small snow mountain. check the snow fall before you go. Its free Take care of the slippery road if you are driving. See last photos
