  • The gardens were a bit tired and dry but it was a very hot January day. Obviously the wrong time of year. Only $10 to get in so very reasonable. Would love to go when the wisteria is in bloom. We coul...  more »

  • Had a wonderful time at Alowyn. Even in winter the gardens are well worth a visit. The nursery is awesome and has lots of great things on offer. Coffee is superb and scones are delicious. You won't be disappointed.
  • What an amazing garden! I have visited many times now and each time is an absolute delight. The owners and staff are so welcoming and their scones, cakes and coffee in their quirky charming cafe is always an enjoyable experience. The gardens are forever changing with each and every season. In fact I believe there are beautiful changes every day. Being a garden with seasonal changes sees the garden in different stages constantly. There is always a delight around each bend. The garden is a testament to it's owners and they have every right to be extremely proud of all their hard work and inspirational vision. I look forward to visiting again very soon.
  • Beautiful garden and nice cofee Yarra Valley choclataries is next door Very good for day trip
  • $10 for adult entry $8.50 concession entry You can explore the nursery or eat at the cafe for free. The gardens are spread over 7 acres and take roughly 45 minutes to explore without constantly stopping for photos but I dare you to try not to, it's so pretty here. The gardens are beautifully designed and laid out with lots of interesting feature areas. This is a great place to go for an outing. The cafe is really yummy and reasonably priced so I would recommend you grab some coffee and cake before you leave. After visiting the Alowyn Gardens I highly recommend driving an extra 25 minutes to Badger Wier in the Yarra Valley. It is a beautiful walking loop through a fern forest along a creek.
  • Lovely gardens disgusting service. There was a wedding booked to be prepared at 11:30 yet we couldn't set up until after 1:30 the time that the wedding ceremony that was meant to start because of some debutants that didn't pay! They kept coming through until 1:45! Wedding was booked very early and you had plenty of notice to call off the debutants. We complained yet Prue stalled us and let them go through! Over priced for what we had to go through. Expect compensation to the newly weds for what you did to them and the professionalism or lack thereof you displayed! We had to stall the bride for nearly an hour! What a disgrace as if she didn't have enough to stress over!
