Inspirock Rating:
4.6/5 based on 130+ reviews on the web
The Urimbirra Wildlife Experience gives you the chance to see more than 70 species of Australian fauna in their natural surroundings.

The paths through Urimbirra allow you to see the animals at close range and a walk through the 16-hectare site is a photographer's delight. Freshwater and saltwater crocodiles are on display, as well as venomous snakes, pythons and lizards.

Located just five kilometres from Victor Harbor on the main Adelaide Road, Urimbirra is an Aboriginal word meaning 'to preserve' or 'to take care of' and there is evidence on the site indicating canoes and shields were made from some of the trees by local Aboriginal groups in the past.

Visitors can interact with a range of animals daily.

Koala shows at 11am, 2pm and 4 pm;

Crocodile feeding at 1.30pm; and

Snake handling displays at 4pm.

  • Nice place to be up close and personal with Aussie wildlife. Just two to three hours needed
  • Excellent wildlife experience with many Australian natives. Get up and close with kangaroos, koalas and snakes. Cheap and affordable for a family expedition and close to Victor Harbor for a day trip.
  • Really lovely wildlife park, staff very helpful, animals friendly, my third visit and I would go again. The time never seems long enough. Got lots of lovely photos to take home to UK. Highly recommended and not too big to see everything in an afternoon.
  • Great park. Be exelent for the young family.
  • Nice place, friendly staff, plenty of space for you and the animals to get around. Can touch koalas and snakes and kangaroos at the right times of day
