Phillip Island Grand Prix Circuit, Ventnor

4.4
#9 of 31 in Things to do in Phillip Island
Reopened in 1956, Phillip Island Grand Prix Circuit was an institution in the racing world with the 100 Miles Road Race starting there from 1928 to 1935. Nowadays, motorcycles dominate the track and speed by spectators encouraging long-distance drivers with calls of support. A multimillion-dollar renovation of the tracks began in late 2006, so the roads are safer and spectators will find more entertainment along the track to while away the time between passing drivers. Our Ventnor trip itinerary maker makes visiting Phillip Island Grand Prix Circuit and other Ventnor attractions simple, and helps you make a travel plan personal to you.

Had a blast. We were lucky enough to have training at the circuit and were able to race incredible cars around the track.....you can pay to have this experience and I highly recommend it. It's not jus...  more »

For those who are passionate about search engines is a must. You can also do some practice sessions on the kart track (it's a well-made miniature circuit) with double karts (I've uploaded my 8 years) but the karts are much faster ...

Only did the go karting. It is on a scale replica of the actual GP race circuit. 10 min per round was more than enough to get the blood pumping. Even though there were some professional teenage racers...  more »

  • I've been go karting twice there, full of the nicest people and a great setup... My brother and I were even given a go on the simulators while waiting for our session. Great job
  • Went with 8 others. Was so much fun. Worth the price. We even had a crazy aggressive guy put into the same kart group as us who ran people off the track and was black flagged and banned. Great staff and great place. Do it. You won't be disappointed.
  • Phillip Island racetrack is a great place to go to catch up with friends and enjoy the racing everybody is relaxed track is a great place to go food is really good on the infield from Dean keep up the good work Phillip Island racetrack
  • An iconic Australia race track. The history and the museum are a good addition
  • Incredibly picturesque. The dramatic backdrop of the sea and surrounding shore lines frames the track incredibly well. Excellent natural viewing platforms on surrounding grassy knowles provide excellent viewing of all the drama of each race. Viewing screens and bars are also set up around the track but the food options are rather limited.
