Phillip Island Grand Prix Circuit, Ventnor

Reopened in 1956, Phillip Island Grand Prix Circuit was an institution in the racing world with the 100 Miles Road Race starting there from 1928 to 1935. Nowadays, motorcycles dominate the track and speed by spectators encouraging long-distance drivers with calls of support. A multimillion-dollar renovation of the tracks began in late 2006, so the roads are safer and spectators will find more entertainment along the track to while away the time between passing drivers. • We went as a family for two sessions on the go karts and had a blast. Our youngest daughter, 10 years old and under the minimum driver age of 12, had to go tandem. On the first session, she went with ...  more »
  • From motorcycle enthusiasts couldn't go look at the Phillip Island circuit, is enough to fill out a self to access them and away, we were in the circuit. But you can't go and not hopping on miniature circuit used for the go-cart. 3 options, 10-minute sessions, 2 single lap $35 $60 and 3 80 $. The choice was obvious. Had a blast, karts easily driveable and fun track, security hyper-prepared. Let us drop by if you're in the area it's worth it. If you don't like the karts have always the possibility of the Simulator or the Museum.

  • We paid $12.5 per person and had access to the gardens which lead to an area where we had a view over the whole circuit. In this price we also had access to the historical museum which was really nice. The only downside would be regarding Robbo the 85 year old parrot, who's locked up alone in a cage in the gardens. He was extremely friendly and smart, we had so much fun with him. However the moment we left him he started screaming and actually telling us to come back, which was heartbreaking when you consider how much time alone he spends in that cage. Something should seriously be done about this, he should be around other parrots and not locked up alone in a cage.
  • Great flowing super fast circuit. Only 2 right hand corners where you really slow down if am correct. Beautiful facilities. Their museum has some very good race winning machine collection from italian riders. I will come back for sure.
  • TAKE THE GUIDED TOUR. For roughly $20 you get unprecedented access to all sorts of usually-restricted areas, all the photos you can take, and awesome guides with tons of knowledge. Highlight of the your is a photo op on the podium! The collection of bikes, cars, and memorabilia in the museum is also well worth your time.
  • A must for any motorcycle racing fan. The facilities are rudimentary in comparison to its international peers. But that's part of its appeal. Its a long drive from Melbourne. But worth it. There's plenty of other interesting things to do in the area aswell... give it a go!
  • I love this track. Nothing compares with its technicality and amazing views along with the big ocean aromatics at the end of the straight. Nothing better I think i need to move house!
