  • Best time for this easy stroll along this amazing boardwalk is early in the mornings. The afternoon wind has not raised its friendly blow, and you get to keep your hat or cap on. Any casual type of fo...  more »

  • Ohh what a Gorgeous spot.. this is a must visit.. from a quite inlet and family calm swimming spot you walk along the board walk to the ocean and white sand beach at the end you can stop at the steps provided along the walk to go in for a swim in waist deep water .. or you can stop and throw a line in along the way..
  • Great walk. Kids loved it spotting fish and crabs amongst the beautiful setting of the broad walk and mangroves. All the way out to the spit is the majestic but dangerous river. So fascinating to watch. Just remember to take a jumper unless it's summer.
  • Gorgeous place.safe relaxed swimming for the kids.fantastic fishing off the rock wall .
  • The product of several generations work, the boardwalk provides over a kilometre of slightly elevated views across the river, wetlands, mountains and ocean. There are a number of viewing platforms. The oldest section of the footbridge is very narrow, but newer sections are excellent. There are stairs that leads down to the water and mangroves at regular distances.
  • An excellent walk, good for basic fitness or dawdling with little kids. My kids stopped halfway and played on the rocks making up the rock breakwater. There were even kangaroos near the end of the walk.
