Kata Tjuta / Mount Olga
Although Ayers Rock 25 km (16 mi) gets all of the fame, Kata Tjuta / Mount Olga is pretty spectacular in its own right. This group of 36 rocky domes also rises mysteriously out of the flat Outback, with the highest peaking 546 m (1,791 ft) above the plain. If you're keeping score, that's 198 m (650 ft) higher than Ayers Rock. If you've come all this way to see the more famous of the rock formations, don't miss this one. Put Kata Tjuta / Mount Olga at the forefront of your travel plans using our Uluru-Kata Tjuta National Park vacation planner.

We only did Waḻpa Gorge as we had young kids with us, but it gave us a great opportunity to experience a small part of what the Olga’s have to offer. Definitely worth the drive out there.

These are different formations of a different rock type. There are 2 major walks both at the western side of the Olgas with limited facilities. Only toilet is at the sunset car park.
