We visited Gumbuya Park a few weeks back on our way through the area. It was perfect for a bbq picnic with friends and the amount of animals around was so much fun as they are pretty domesticated so w... more »
It was our first time and the weather was pretty nice. The rides were okay but the kids enjoyed them. The wildlife were also quite nice to see. The roos and the wallabies are not afraid of humans and they fancy getting fed from the hand. Recommended if you haven't gone there before...
Whatever you do don't purchase any food here. The meat was raw, it made us sick and they were not apologetic about this. Our group booked a wild life experience & they overcharged us. We were charged $40 ($20 per person) but prices are $10 per person, we did get our money back but they never apologised for this inconvenience. The wildlife tour guide was lovely and very knowledgable we enjoyed our tour with him. The rides are outdated for the prices charged and we were stuck on the toboggans as they broke down.
Old school cool. This is a hidden gem. There is so much to do here. Value is a mixed bag, but on the whole we had a good experience. The waterslide was a highlight, as was driving around the course in the fastest cars. We liked the minigolf, though a little repair would go a long way.
I was at your establishment today and I am so very disappointed!!!! First of all your rides are severely outdated and due to the fact that the four of us were adults our unlimited ride bands were a waste of money!!! Were only able to happily go on two of your rides!! So we we paid $80 for four rides!!!! To add to I had the worst experience at your cafe!!!! My partner had decided to purchase a fair few items from your cafe!!! However when we went to pay my partner discovered that he had left his bank in the car and he would be right back but I would decide to wait there, well, you would have thought we had committed a federal offence by the way your staff member!!! She proceeded to give us the most dirty look I have ever seen and then when I was was waiting for my partner to return when your employee proceeded to viciously announce to the next customers, who happened to be with us! And only after getting there food ready! That she would not be serving them because of us in the most nasty way right in front of me!!! She then proceeded to call over her 'mum' as she called her and said the same thing again right in front of me!!! Her mum then wiped it of and continued to work, she then continued to serve, all the while leaving our hot food on the bench rather then back in the Bain Marie! To add to this once my partner returned and we were allowed to take our food from the bench we discovered my Dagwood dog was raw! And when my partner went to show them they were unapologetic offered no refund and refused to even admit it was raw! Which I can attest to as I have been sick ever since!!!! Despite all we tried to make the most of our day by going on a wildlife tour of you park, even this was tainted. Those same staff decided to double charge us each for the tours, they did offer refund thankfully, but then proceeded to tell me and my friend that we were to get the animal feed for the tour there so when we took four packets, one for each of us, we were met with more dirty and disgusting looks and upon seeing this I decided to clarify I asked agin to which I received a rude and condescending 'no!' and more dirty looks, so I handed the feed back and responded 'then that's what you should have informed us the first time!! Today has been a waste of $100+ and when as I customer I spend that much money it is not unreasonable to expect both value and customer service for that money!! I am disgusted!
Where should I start. Over priced. The cafe staff were rude not only to myself but my girlfriend cousin and his partner. When informed that the food was raw and undercooked they said there's nothing we can do about it. Well guess what you cooked the food. They refused a refund or to make a new one. The rides are outdated old things that broke down while on it. Shame there's only 5 stars cos I think gumbuya park owe me stars lol
