See one of the world’s most extensive and significant collections of coral at Museum of Tropical Queensland. This museum of natural history and archaeology also keeps artifacts recovered from the wreck of HMS Pandora, which sank off the coast of north Queensland in 1791 after capturing some of the participants in the infamous mutiny on the Bounty. Other notable exhibits include animatronic versions of the world's most famous dinosaurs, such as Tyrannosaurus rex and Queensland’s own Muttaburrasaurus, as well as a typical north Queensland rain forest environment. Bring the whole family to the interactive exhibition of a Great Barrier Reef shipwreck, which is custom-built for families with small children.
