4.5/5 based on 260 reviews on the web
Home to the world’s longest-running surfing competition, Bells Beach is widely recognized as one of the best surfing beaches in Victoria. At this beach you can ride waves all day, or head to the rocky cliffs surrounding the coastline, from which you can watch some of the world’s best surfers perfecting their skills. Named after the family that lived in the area in the 1840s, the beach is popular with sightseers, who walk along the cliffs looking for the best vantage points, or picnic on the sand as the sun goes down. Keep in mind that due to its exposed reef and rough waves, the beach is most suited to experienced surfers. • The first stage of the Great Ocean Road starts for almost everyone from Bells beach, the beach mentioned in Point Break and that every surfer dreams of trying. Beautiful beach can be reached from a beautiful staircase and lets in a first impression of the impetuosity of Australian Sea hits the cliffs. Go for it.

  • Our first stop of the great ocean Road has begun right here ... is a nice wide beach with beautiful trees that flank. We saw it in the winter, so I couldn't give tips for the summer season.

  • One of the best places you may imagine for surfing along a wide interesting lonesome coastin Victoria near Torquay. My friends had been happy, will come soon back. My recommendation
