Specialty Museum Museum
See Australia’s finest collection of horse-drawn vehicles at Cobb+Co Museum, housing over 50 drays, sulkies, buggies, and farm wagons that tell the story of European settlement in this part of the country. Displays of elaborate Phaeton, Victoria, and Landau carriages give a glimpse of a slower-paced life. Don’t miss the exhibit of the original Cobb and Co coaches, including the last coach that ran from Yuleba to Surat in 1924. The museum has several educational galleries, which house a range of temporary exhibitions and workshops in heritage trades, such as blacksmithing, stonemasonry, calligraphy, and creative bookmaking. • Well worth a visit on your trip to Toowoomba. Great selection of Cobb+Co memorabilia and good displays of traditional arts and crafts. Allocate yourself 1.5 hours to see the exhibitions. They also have tours. We caught the 2:30pm one.
  • Admission fee is affordable and if you are with RACQ you get a bit of a discount. Enjoyed the story boxes that invited you to listen to a recording. There was plenty of children about so the museum is child friendly. We watched people work leather in the workshop, revisted our childhood in the playschool section then enjoyed a coffee and shared a lamington.
  • We would not go a month without taking the kids here. It's got a great caf, lot sot see and do. It's a credit to the TRC for maintaining this at such a high standard.
  • Very nice staff. Well worth a walk through
  • Fantastic place to take the family. Free entry for locals, cafe is superb with friendly service. Heaps of options and areas for kids to play and burn energy.
