What a great experience. The kids had a fabulous time and are still talking about it. The workers were very informative and respectful of the dolphins.  more »

Arrive early to get the most out of this experience. It is a small area where they conduct the dolphin feeding which gets crowded with people both standing in the water and lining the shore. They star...  more »

This is great value for any visitor, especially a family with kids. All volunteer run, the staff are here for their love of the dolphins and to allow us the privilege of experiencing wild dolphins up close. $10 a head is exceptional value. There is an establishment south of Brisbane that charges $400 for a dolphin encounter, which is not as good as the Barnacles experience according to our family opinion. Got there at 7, had a leisurely family breakfast ( which was just the ticket on a chilly morning!) and a decent coffee, a bit of banter with some local characters, then enjoyed spending time in the water with the Dolphins before feeding. Feeding was at 8. Lots of knowledge to absorb from the guides.

Overall it was a really good experience, although the first time the dolphins didn't show for 2+ hours, and everyone had left. But they give a refund if they are a no show. It's run by volunteers which I commend their efforts. It was $10 in total to feed a fish to the dolphins. The volunteers were informative, and the dolphins were very calm and stayed for a long time. Remember to bring cash. There is a cafe that you get a discount at if feeding, it was nice to get a coffee while waiting in the cold, they have EFT. The actual place was a little run down, but was a good time.

So amazing. You can see wild dolphins which you can also feed for 5$. That will tell you a lot about the life of the dolphins. It is really worth a visit we just loved it. And they have also a nice barbecue area next to the sea so you enjoy your breakfast there afterwards.

Every time I've been, it's been such a great experience. Absolutely love coming and seeing the dolphins. Can not recommend it enough. Do suggest going in the summer months as the water is chilly in July

If you are around, go and see wild dolphins feeding. We had very nice morning, even waiting time to see dolphins was a bit long, but there is a cafe where you can eat your breakfast so it was cool. Recomended !
