Thredbo Alpine Village, Thredbo Village
(3.3/5 based on 280+ reviews on the web)
Go hiking, drink Kosciusko beer, and sit by the fireplace at Thredbo Alpine Village. Hike to the summit of Australia's highest mountain, standing at 2,228 m (7,300 ft). This is a moderate walk of 13.5 km (8.4 mi) that provides you with spectacular scenery. When you're done, sip some hot chocolate and enjoy live music performances at one of the pubs in the village at the bottom of the mountain. The location is perfect for winter sports, and in the summer you can play tennis, golf, and take advantage of the Aquatic Center.
