(4.7/5 based on 340+ reviews on the web)
Extending over 6,900 sq km (2,664 sq mi), Kosciuszko National Park contains Australia's highest mountain, Mount Kosciuszko. Rugged mountains and wilderness border the park, and its alpine climate makes it popular with both skiers and bushwalkers. You can take the chairlift up to the summit. This park provides the perfect environment throughout the year for many outdoor activities, including backcountry skiing, snowshoeing, and hiking, as well as canoeing and swimming in the rivers and lakes in the warmer months. The scenery is amazing, and the walking trails are well maintained. • Mount Kosciuszko is the most at the top of Australia, and the road to get there really reminds the Alpine roads. It's very surprising to see some ski resorts in Australia, and yet they exist. During our visit in November, there was still snow, but they especially ATVS that we met. The surroundings of Mount Kosciuszko are really very pretty. We met emus and kangaroos in complete freedom. A good memory years our trip
