  • We visited the underground mine (we did not take the other tour) and found it very interesting. However, just know that this mine isn't a real mine, it is a replica built for instructional & training purposes, and the person leading the tour, while knowledgeable and fun, had never worked or been into a real mine. They are upfront about the former once you have paid and the tour starts - I wished they were upfront before you book the tour. It's still excellent, but it feels a little dishonest to hide this until after the tour starts.
  • Small country town but lots of facilities, shops and other services. The mine museum and the tour is informative and interesting. The personal history of the family, war and the community is fascinating and shows an amazing community spirit.
  • Both tours are good value for the money.
  • Good little tour
