  • Making summer holiday plans? Dec-Feb is the best time to see our fields in full bloom. I go there many times! Lavender is good smell! Lavender ice-cream must try! And many souvenir you can buy!!
  • Enjoyed a lavender latte at the cafe. You can buy lavender in the shop to drink, eat, rub over yourself, or clean yourself with. Which is just as well as the flowers are only in season for two months ...  read more »
  • Vast lavender fields surround their shop, which supplies a large amount of lavender produce (e.g. soaps, hand towels, bears, tea). There is a massive 'Robbie' bear inside their shop that you can take a pic with! Their signature lavender bear with heat-pack is rather exy ($79.95) but smells divine. Unfortunately the smaller non-heat pack bear doesn't contain lavendar but is only a fraction of the cost. The cafe offers a small menu, including lavender ice cream and lavender chai tea (which is not available for retail sale =( ).
  • Yeah its ok and der is no flowers. They are saying the season starts from december ends in jan.
  • The best time to visit is during January and February while the lavender is being harvested. This visit in late March was to go down memory lane as I had filed a TV documentary there way back in 1986. Unfortunately the weather was overcast, but afternoon tea in the cafe made the visit worthwhile. The gift shop was too inviting and we could not resit buying a small bobby bear. Well worth visiting
  • I would recommend this as a must see tourist destination, IF Bridestowe didn't charge an entry fee per person. We wanted to take visitors there to buy souvenirs + food from their cafe, but an entry fee on top of that is a total rip off. And the demands by the people manning the entrance, to see everyone in the car's ID to verify who was a local resident, was not exactly welcoming. Such a pity the place is run in this way.
  • Worst customer service ever and money greedy operations! Experienced the worst discriminating treatment we have ever seen. Snapped at rudely by a woman (staff) for simply touching the bears. Told that we could only buy the bear as a 'gift set' together with oils when another local Tassie customer there could buy the bear on its own. One of the bears had a loose ribbon and i was tidying it up but the rude woman snatched out of my hands when i was about to pay for it and snapped 'dont touch it!'. Didnt see them treat caucasian looking customers this way, only foreigners. Non locals also pay different prices and entrance fee. Clearly a tourist trap. This place needs to know where they are making their money from and hire some decent staff. Totally disgusting. NEVER AGAIN!
