  • I was lucky enough to visit Turkey Flat Vineyards. We stopped in looking for some white port for a gift to take back home. Best stop we ever made. This cellar door is rustic and cosy. The staff are ve...  more »
  • What a fantastic winery. The cellar door was cosy and warming. The staff were fantastic, we had a great chat as he guided us through our tasting. This has become one of our favourites in the Barossa.
  • Lovely historic setting. Pleasant wine tasting, accompanied by knowledgeable and enthusiastic staff; really made the difference!

  • Barossa & Light Cab Service recommend Turkey Flat Vineyards and cellar door, to a lot of our customers. We love the cellar door, and the beautiful vineyard surroundings, and we find our customers love it too. The staff are very knowledgeable about their product and the region. We rate Turkey Flat 5 out of 5 stars, because of their wines first and foremost, but also because of their commitment to information sharing with customers about various stages in the wine-making process, and in addition to this, their hosting the the Annual Barossa Vintage Festival, which we, think is a wonderful thing for the Barossa. Be sure to drop into Turkey Flat the next time you are visiting the Barossa.
  • Lovely place, really good wines & loved the guy working there. He had a passion for wine & was very knowledgable. great experience !
  • Super friendly staff. The tasting room is small but quality of wine is great!
  • This was the first winery I visited years ago that actually gave me palletable information on the ins and outs of the winery’s various vintages and complexities. It is such a heaving, complex beast, the winery if you ever get a chance to check out the guts of one on your travels. Everything from planting, protecting, feeding, nurturing (I’m not kidding, Turkey Flat sprayed sunscreen on their vines last vintage! Who woulda thunk it!?) the vines, to the picking, producing, fermenting, bottling, marketing etc etc etc, there are a LOT of moving parts! And to try and understand them is why some people spend years at university learning the craft. But most wineries won’t give you all of their dirty little secrets (alright, some of them might, but they don’t want to ruin their chance of a sale so it’s unlikely!) that most of the winery workers know. Turkey Flat is the exception for me here. Not that there were any dirty little secrets to be told this time around, but the cellar door attendant, despite only doing 1 day a week, provided us with some great info on the various vintages, grapes and general goings on, following the Annual Barossa Vintage Festival which was held last weekend. Go check out the website for more info on the wines, and do yourself a favour and pop in here while you’re up in the BV. It’s a worthwhile experience and you will taste some truly magic wines.
  • Great cellar door in a beautiful surrounding with a variety of tastings available
