Rockford Winery, Tanunda

#2 of 190 in Wineries in South Australia
An old-style winery located in a low-rise, stone-built complex as quaint as its products are delicious, Rockford Winery possesses an authentically rustic charm. Red-tinted, high-roofed, shaded buildings characterize this prosperous winery, where you can enjoy private tastings, food sampling, and even small, intimate concerts. Part of the Barossa Valley wine region, the winery benefits from the local conditions, which are ideal for viniculture. • A great tasting experience. Very informative. And some nice wines. Staff are extremely helpful. This Cellar Door should definitely be on your list.
  • Great location and service too. The lady loved to commented on each wine and tell a story . Amazing barrels on top of our heads
  • In a 1850 atmosphere, embraced by rocks and wooden buildings they make wines like in the old good times. The results are amazing beverages that fill your body and souls.
  • Beautiful cellar door (although tight due to incredible popularity)... Great reds including the unbeatable Rockford Basket Press.
  • Great staff, both at the tasting counter and those that were working during the harvest they were happy to chat and answer questions. The old building used as the tasting room is really fitting, be sure to look up. Oh, and excellent wine as well. Well worth a visit
