Located on land originally purchased by a German immigrant back in 1838, Langmeil Winery is home to what may be the world’s oldest surviving Shiraz vineyard. This vineyard, planted in 1843 from vines transported from Europe, has produced some of the region’s finest wines, which you can taste or purchase during your visit. The staff of this family-owned winery provides comprehensive tours of the winemaking process, immersing visitors in the history and European heritage of the region. Vineyard tours and tastings are available on most days, but check ahead to confirm availability and book your visit to this historic site. • Whenever I'm in the area I wonder if I should try a new winery...inevitably I end up at Langmeil and when I leave (always heavily laden with wine) I remind myself why I don't stray from this amazing winery. Their product is simply outstanding, and the customer experience is top notch. If you're genuinely passionate about wine (not just wanting to get drunk from a tasting) then you're almost guaranteed to try stuff 'Not For Tasting' and/or a discount. Thanks to the entire team and I can't wait to come again!
  • Always love coming here - in a region packed with great places, the wines and the location here always stand out. The ladies at the cellar door were very knowledgeable on the wines and local area. Really loving the Mataro, but their famed Shiraz lives up to the reputation 👌🏾
  • We had a great experience the staff were wonderful the wines fantastic a real good experience all good knowledge of the wines on offer. Definitely a recommendation
  • The most Beautiful winery in the Barossa. It is a must to visit. Great wine, great service and wonderful staff.
  • Lisa who looked after us yesterday was amazing, she entertained us with her clever one liners and took us through their fantastic wines. The highlight of our weekend in the Barossa
