  • Wouldn't have even found this place if it wasn't for my staying with locals who introduced me to it. A surprise and challenge in all directions. A whole new area of art for me. Loved it.  more »

  • Free art gallery in the heart of Chippendale. Frequently changing installations and themes, great for couples and families. Small gift shop downstairs sells nice crafty items.
  • A fantastic contemporary art gallery with engaging artwork and a great tea room with gluten free dumplings. My favourite gallery on this Sydney holiday!
  • Has three levels of exhibition space (although the top floor is really just a single room usually reserved for a single large display piece). Entry is free and the artworks tend to be updated regularly. Gift shop is a blast to browse, with many amusing items for sale albeit a little pricey.
  • super interesting and exciting every 6 months coming back. cant believe it is FREE!!! keep it up White Rabbit!!
  • Best place ever. Incredibly run, staff are super knowledgeable. A must visit if in Sydney.

Where to stay in Sydney

Sydney offers visitors hundreds of lodging options in its central area, with choices suitable for most budgets. As expected in a major tourist destination, harbor views play a major role in determining room prices. Expect to pay more for ocean-view suites, especially if you visit at the peak of the tourist season or around big city events. If you don't need to stay in the center of Sydney, consider budget-friendly hotels near the airport, or look for smaller roadside motels in the city's South West neighborhood.
