  • This gallery showcases modern Chinese art. Like any modern gallery it takes risks and not all the risks come off. nevertheless it is consistently interesting, much more so than the MCA, for example. O...  more »

  • Absolutely loved this gallery. The exhibition I went to was well curated, thought provoking, fun and also disturbing. There was a free guided tour from 2pm if you were in the foyer and the guide was amazing. Knowledgeable, friendly, passionate. The tour definitely added some context I would have missed on my own. They also have a nice tea house/cafe and store downstairs. I can definitely recommend the lychee ice tea.
  • My favourite gallery in Sydney. The quality of works in here is just amazing - there isn't the sense of them skimping out on you like you see in other galleries ex: Frida exhibition without many larger iconic paintings or Japanese print exhibition without that many actual print - You walk into this gallery and get the sense that you're getting the best, in perfect setting. ALL FOR FREE ENTRY! Unlike some galleries and museums where you pay hefty price to get in so you can see the worst little painting from the artist's collection. The space also feels more free and fun - even through more somber exhibitions, unlike many of the museums/galleries where I remember the guards more than the art works.
  • A veritable priceless pearl in the oyster. I love this space. I always look forward to each show with great anticipation... I visit regularly. A must see for all lovers of Asian Art in all its genres, styles etc..
  • It's a nice place to spend an hour or so on a weekend. Free entry is a bonus! Beautiful display of Asian arts. Interesting artworks all the times !
  • Great collection of Asian contemporary artists. I also found cute gifts to bring back home. The restaurant doesn't serve coffee and I didn't have the chance to have a lunch there but it looked good.
