Where to stay in Sydney

Sydney offers visitors hundreds of lodging options in its central area, with choices suitable for most budgets. As expected in a major tourist destination, harbor views play a major role in determining room prices. Expect to pay more for ocean-view suites, especially if you visit at the peak of the tourist season or around big city events. If you don't need to stay in the center of Sydney, consider budget-friendly hotels near the airport, or look for smaller roadside motels in the city's South West neighborhood.

  • Magnificent gallery of contemporary Chinese art. Exhibition changes every 6 months or so. I love this place. Anyone interested in contemporary art MUST visit.....and what's more, it's free.
  • I adore this gallery! Most of the art works have a brilliant combination of being visually stunning and clever conceptually. Skillful art with thoughtfulness. Majority of the with is highly political. I would absolutely recommend this gallery.
  • One of my favourite galleries. Showcases contemporary Chinese art from a private collection with new installations twice a year. It also has a great dumpling restaurant inside.
  • The Dark Matters will be my favourite 2017 exhibition. Fantastic gallery that is an entire private collection of one woman. Amazing!
  • Definitely one of my favourite hidden gems in Sydney. A brilliant free gallery of some contemporary Chinese arts private collections. I kept going back because every few months they close down the gallery for a month to put in new instalments! Also the teas in the little cafe inside the gallery has a good selection of tea and is reasonably priced!
