Visit tranquil islands and sheltered beaches, and get a grip on the rich pre- and post-colonial history of New South Wales at Sydney Harbour National Park. You can learn about Sydney’s past on a guided tour, getting a taste of rich Indigenous, colonial, and military heritage, as well as enjoying the natural aquatic reserves and archipelagos. The park itself offers excellent swimming spots, hiking trails, and rest areas, with the cultural intrigue of seeing Indigenous reburial sites where ancestral remains have been returned. Observe native wildlife as you gaze out over the ocean--if here in winter, you might even see whales on their annual migration. Our Sydney vacation trip planner makes visiting Sydney Harbour National Park and other Sydney attractions simple, and helps you make a travel plan personal to you.

who doesn't love the stunning view from there? highly recommended to walk around everywhere in Sydney.
There are wonderful walking courses in the park.
Stunning. Views across the harbour and the ocean from the spectacular North Head. The walking trails are well designed and maintained, there's old war coordinates you can visit and memorial sights. We watched the Sydnet to Hobart Yacht Race start from here, along with many other visits just to enjoy the views. Be sure to walk the trial down to Shelly Beach.
Beautiful look out point that oversees the entirety of Sydney Harbour all the way into Sydney CBD. Running (trail or road) is great here with the undulating Hills around the park.
Nice and relax place just next to Manly to avoid the crowd.
