Pick up a memento of your time in Australia at Paddy's Market, selling a huge range of souvenirs at much better prices than regular gift shops. Choose from quintessential Aussie gifts, such as stuffed koalas and kangaroos, or replicas of indigenous arts and crafts, such as traditional paintings and hand-made didgeridoos. The market also sells products as varied as fruit, vegetables, fresh fish, clothing, flowers, and jewelry. Located in Haymarket near Chinatown, Paddy's Market is one of the area's major tourist attractions. There is also a market in Flemington. Have always enjoyed the markets and the people here. Changed now as about half the stalls are shut so not the same experience at all

Let me start off by saying that whilst yes, Paddy’s Market is a centralized mini stall area with a variety of goods to sell it is NOT your European type stall/farmers market which is made very clear..... more

Had a great visit the bakery was our favourite place. Got everything we wanted at a fraction of the price just wished we had more time. Stall holders were a great help offering help when didn't have item wanted
One of the main place in this area provides variety of shopping options and then closer by many dining options too. Close to the public transport. Good to visit if you are searching for some souvenirs or things like where you find in genetic markets. But make sure you have some idea about the price what you looking for. Otherwise you could end up paying more here.
Bought some nice bits and pieces, nice place to explore, but got well ripped off with a massage. Was actually pulled in by my hand, thought OK, neck shoulders are tight, once on table, was told "you need this, and this" only stopped when I strongly said, "do what you want but I have no more money", she immediately stopped and walked away. Food court upstairs is nice, check out desserts in 85 degree Daily cafe.
It's an ordinary market, but I believe that everyone will love it, especially women, where we can get a lot of variety of souvenirs with a very good prices. I'd love to suggest you to keep your cash, and get the stuffs for souvenirs from this market. Besides, you also can get some bites for quick lunch. The seller are very friendly. I wish this market will open more longer on daily operation.
You can find good bargains at this place. Also a great place for tourists to buy affordable souvenirs from Australia to bring home. Food court offers quite a good selection of food from different cultures. It is very accessible with light rail stops in front of this market. Groceries shopping is available with supermarket being there that also offers selection of Asian groceries.
