Featuring a collection of opals mined from the Jundah Mines, Opal Minded is an iridescent feast for the eyes. The collections on display include individually designed opal jeweler that showcases the most remarkable of the stones set in white gold, sliver, and other precious metals. An unset collection of the stones features a kaleidoscope of color that give examples of the range found in the mines. All pieces on display are available for purchase, or you can request a custom-made design with the stone of your choice. • It is the only shop in Sydney that owns an opal mine. There is a store in the corner of Rocks (which is also written in the catalog), and if the Rocks Market is held, it is a location that is easy to stop by sightseeing immediately. I went without studying opal in advance, but Mr. Fiona kindly gave me a choice of things - budget - style - value, and various elements over time. As a method, I choose about 10 things that I seem to like, and I actually put them on and see the difference in color on the color and skin, and I will carefully choose them while explaining the stones. I had more than an hour. At first, I looked for the budget for about AU1000 to 2000 dollars, so I considered and purchased it, including the doublet, but I wanted a singlet because it was an angle, and I was allowed to choose it again the next day. The singlet is said to be au3000 dollars or so, but there was the one of au2000 dollars, too. I looked for it with an 18k yellow gold necklace, but the price siang, such as silver, another local silver, ring earring necklace, etc. I decided on a necklace with four claws at 18k with black opal. Although it is small, there is a color of red and yellow, too, and it is very satisfied. Opals do not have an expert opinion, but the shop issues their own certificates. There are many kinds of opal jewelry, I think you can enjoy and choose.

  • I fell in love with the opals at Opal Minded on their website, I knew I wanted my opal from here. My saleswoman Kayleigh was so great to work with. She was patient and walked me through the whole store, showing me all different options. She asked my budget and helped me find beautiful pieces that comfortably fit within my budget. I ended up picking out a light boulder opal set in sterling silver. She also shared with me how I should care for the sterling silver as initially I was afraid of purchasing that type of metal. My opal was mined in the Opal Minded mines which was cool to learn. A certificate of authenticity was also provided for insurance purposes. If you want a gorgeous opal this is your place!
  • Delighted with our experience of choosing and buying opals at Opal Minded. No hard sell, just helpful and attentive to our requirements and price range. We learned so much about opals and how they differ. Initially, Fiona helped us choose a beautiful ring that ticked all the boxes. The ring needed to be sized which was done the following day. We returned to collect the ring and bought a stunning pendant. Would highly recommend this as the palace to go any buy your opal jewellery. You will be given lots of time and attention ensuring you end up with exactly what you want at the price you wish to pay.
  • They have an amazing selection of Opal jewellery. The team are helpful, knowledgeable and not hard-pressed to make a sale. Kayleigh assisted me in purchasing exquisite earrings. I will definitely return and can highly recommend this store to anyone hunting for Opals.
  • ☺☺😋There are a handful of iconic landmarks that are synonymous with some of the world’s greatest cities, and Sydney’s eggshell-shaped opera house is certainly one of them. Although the Sydney Opera House is the heartbeat of the city, Sydney has a wealth of other attractions to offer its visitors. The city is notorious for its renowned beaches (you’ve probably heard of Bondi Beach and Coogee Beach), its famed vineyards, beautiful outdoors (The Blue Mountains will blow your mind), energetic nightlife, and of course--its unique wildlife which can be enjoyed in one of the city’s acclaimed zoos. Sydney isn’t just an absolutely must-visit destination, it also offers easy access to the rest of Australia and nearby New Zealand. And in case you like it so much and think it could be a good place to relocate to, we have good news for you! Sydney is regularly ranked amongst the top cities in the world to live in.
  • One of the great joys of visiting Sydney is the availability of many varieties and cuts of Australian opal on display. One can find them anywhere- even in souvenir shops. But there is a major difference in the quality of the Opals and one should know them before impulsively plonking a great deal of money into one. The highest quality Opals are usually the natural types and they can be classified as Black, White or Boulder. Next is the man-made Opals which are usually Doublets or Triplets. These Opals are natural Opals that have been cut but supplemented with a front or back backing to enhance the colours. Knowing all that and having visited multiple shops in Sydney, we went to Opal Minded and had a wonderful time there. Miranda, who was attending to us, took time to show us the different varieties of Opal on offer. She was patient and was very attentive in ensuring that we get to see and try on some of the most beautiful Opal beautiful jewelry that they have to offer. In the end, we settled for a beautiful Boulder Opal. The purchasing process was also very educational as the shop allows for the immediate deduction of GST from the retail price. Miranda gave us very clear instructions on how to process the paperwork at the airport and we didn't have any issues with it. It was a truly enjoyable afternoon there and we are very happy with our purchase.
