  • Sydney in late autumn and early winter is a top spot and there are few places better to enjoy it in a leisurely fashion then lounging by the pool and taking a dip in the (somewhat) heated waters of No...  more »

  • So, I love swimming, but I have never written a review about a pool. THIS pool is worth writing about. Firstly, the pool itself is great. Olympic size and depth and plenty of lanes for all swimmers - ...  more »

  • Perhaps my inputs a tad dated... lol But Awwwwwwwwwwwwww :D The wonderful childhood memories of riding the old 'Red Rattlers' from the Eastern Suburbs' across the Sydney Harbour Bridge on our way this this awesome icon of ours. Great times & around 40 years later I can only look back & smile at it all. Even remember having been there the day that Shane Gould was seen there. :D
  • The location is absolutely stunning, it's a cheap way to take in the harbour while relaxing in an historic facility! Unfortunately the pool isn't very easy to navigate, friendlier staff and better signage, lighting and maintenance would help. Also the water is extremely salty and has a high concentration of chlorine as well - really stung my eyes and mouth, would not recommend lap swimming without goggles.
  • I love this pool for what it is a 50m pool for lap swimming. The pool is perfect but facilities -such as the staircase- could do with a bit more maintenance. As a regular swimmer here I am concerned about the "upgrade plans" that are supposed to make this pool "more family friendly" with a slide an all that ..I hope it does not happen - this pool is world famous for its location and it should be kept what it is - a swimming pool - not a water park. I am hoping to get at least another year of lap swimming done here..
  • The pool is saltwater which is good. There is plenty of room in the open areas but best get there reasonably early at weekends. Facilities are very dated but there is a big refurbishment planned which will transform the facility. Probably a total rebuild - $50m perhaps. That'll close things down for quite a while I guess. Food and beverage very ordinary but clearly that will all get fixed in the refurb.
  • As far as a lane swimming pool goes, it's fantastic. Views are great, parking is free for two hours. It's the surrounding facilities that are a bit dated, hot showers require purchased tokens, it's quite an expensive entry fee when you consider the additional showering costs. It will also pay to note, it's a salt water pool.
