  • Located near Chinatown and Haymarket. First floor is lined with shops such as street vendors will be happy just to see. Guests can enjoy relaxing because other outlets, a food court and movie theater. There is a tram stop in front of is convenient to move.

  • The highlight of the place is the architecture. The market itself I was disappointed a bit, perhaps because I had too high expectations, I don't know, but I did not find much variety of things as I expected.

  • I visited on Wednesday 25/10/17 - I was a little disapointed at first as I really couldn't see any fashion for mature people (over 30 that is), the shoes were not all that much cheaper than the bigger...  more »

  • A fairly up-market shopping destination above the Paddy's Markets. The stores are very trendy and have some very good merchandise but it is in the mid to high end budget market, so if you want a bargain go downstairs to Paddy's, but if you want some trendy expensive gift options, this is the place for you. They also have a large arcade centre with some very arcade games and dodge 'em cars rink. Also a cinema and some good eatery's available. Altogether a nice place to visit. 3 stars.
  • Conveniently located. Some unique stuff on the ground level. Food Court on level 1 offers good variety. Fresh fruits and vegetable section is very good - good fresh stuff, variety and prices lower than super market by 20-30% for most items, some even at half the price.
  • Good shopping centre with a wide variety of shops and choices in the food court. Can be improved on maintaining higher standard of cleanliness. EDIT: there is a brand new modern food court on level 1. 5 star
  • In need of souvenirs??? Find it here at Paddy's market...near the China town. Lots of choice and you will not regret. The only thing to regret is they close at 6pm sharp (5pm on certain days). So bring lots of cash (credit card accepted) and buy sourvenirs for family & friends ❤ p/s do walk to here...with maps. You'll not be dissapointed since you will pass Darling harbour & lots of beautiful yet old English building >_
  • I went to market city about 15 years ago and the atmosphere then was small shops many of them and lot of variety. It had the look of a continental market. Now it has turned into an enterprise. Just retail shops and no bargaining to be had. Liked the old market style. This is now a shopping centre.

Where to stay in Sydney

Sydney offers visitors hundreds of lodging options in its central area, with choices suitable for most budgets. As expected in a major tourist destination, harbor views play a major role in determining room prices. Expect to pay more for ocean-view suites, especially if you visit at the peak of the tourist season or around big city events. If you don't need to stay in the center of Sydney, consider budget-friendly hotels near the airport, or look for smaller roadside motels in the city's South West neighborhood.
