  • I have been sailing with Eastsail more or less weekly since 2003. I started as a complete landlubber, with the main objective of having a life outside the office, and ended up as an RYA Yachtmaster.....  more »
  • I have been using Eastsail for almost seven years in various capacities; training, social racing, bareboating, and skippered charters. They are a great group of people - always professional and...  more »

  • Having never sailed before I had a little trepidation ahead of the course. Our skipper, Lothar, was such an incredible teacher that my trepidation immediately subsided. His very clear directions, delivered with equal parts humour and experience made the weekend a delight. Albeit a bruise-inducing one! Pro-tip – bring some knee pads! I now feel confident to get back on a boat and help out as crew. I thoroughly recommend East Sail if you are looking to learn to sail.
  • We just spent 5 of the most wonderful days on the 5 Day Competent Crew course as a family. My Husband, myself and my 2 sons 6 and 10 years. Katey was nothing short of awesome, keeping the younger crew engaged in learning and having the initiative to stop for some fun in the sun for the kdis and parents theory lessons ! Stretching us as far as we could go and always explaining everything she was doing and why. For us it was the perfect reintroduction to sailing for my husband and I and a great beginning for the boys but what we hadnt bargained for was it was the most amasing team building week for the whole family. Thanks east sail for pulling it all together.
  • Had two great days out with Eastsail this summer - the boats, the beauty of the Harbour, the great catering (part of our companies 20th birthday celebration) and of course the mind blowing light show and choreography are all just components; the people really made it and i would sincerly like to thank all the crew dock side and on the water for giving us 2 fabulous experiences, in particularly of course George who exuded experience and fabulous, genuinely friendly personality in equal measure - professional service with (literally) a family touch as we loved meeting Miguel as well... Please pass on our thanks to all for 2 memories our family will cherish...
  • Excellent, well maintained boats from a company that puts safety and service first. Hire one of their boats with a skipper to explore the stunning Sydney Harbor with the back drop of the opera house and the bridge or venture down one of the unknown estuaries. East Sail also offers excellent sailing school courses such as learning how to use a spinnaker and the regular student races which are a lot of fun. A great way to spend a weekend or an evening after work
  • I highly recommend Eastsail for their excellent sail training. I recently completed my Day Skipper theory and practical with them. It was extremely professional and thoroughly enjoyable. Thanks Lothar!
