  • I came for the first time, accompanied by a sister lives in Sydney. Has famous beaches Bondi and manly as tourists, here is a feeling like not only the local people. I think high waves, swimming is afraid, not the best place for surfers. Walking down the beach and the Hill and climb up there and Griffith Park, 360-degree sea views from here! It is sometimes seen whales. I think Sydney's best beaches.

  • This is a fantastic beach, great for swimming and beach games, pool also available and shops and food available, gets busy though in summer  more »
  • I live around Dee Why and it's beautiful. You can have a walk or a swim or just spend time with the family. There are also manly cafes around where you can get a bite to eat, a coffee or a sweet snack...  more »

  • A wonderful open beautiful beach haven with a spectacular surfing point excellent for competitions. Fabulous rockpools and surf pool, Olympic size , plus walking salt water wading pool too. Excellent beach for long runs or beach walking. And extraordinary flat Rock pool reef area great for family walks and great rock and beach fishing. Outstanding pools with change rooms, showers and toilets. Great little coffee shop and cafe right on the water front looking over the beach and rock pools. Then incredible beautiful surf lifesaving club with clean extra large toilets and showers there too. Great views and large feature room with kitchen and bar sensational for parties and weddings. Extra large park area across front beach area with many tables and picnic areas as well as completely safe fully enclosed children's play area. Big parking area at top of pool area plus all along near play area and massive car space area behind surf club as well as another children's play area there too. Well patrolled safe flags swimming also. Terrific all round wonderful place for family and friends beach outings. Delicious restaurants, fish n chips, coffee shops and snack bars all along the beach road too. Enjoy.
  • One of the best and busiest coastline in the northern beaches. A haven for swimming, surfing, family fun or just lazing around. With great amenities, ample parking and plenty of dining choices.
  • Great beach. Generally clean. Good waves for kids and surfers. Nice facilities. Well patrolled by surf patrol. Parking can be a real issue on busy summer days but try the paid parking by the surf club. Good local shops nearby but cafes can be very busy and pricey.... But that's the northern beaches for you
  • Great amenities, plenty of parking, fabulous eateries.
  • One of the best beach of the Northern beaches of Sydney. Always a place to sit.

Where to stay in Sydney

Sydney offers visitors hundreds of lodging options in its central area, with choices suitable for most budgets. As expected in a major tourist destination, harbor views play a major role in determining room prices. Expect to pay more for ocean-view suites, especially if you visit at the peak of the tourist season or around big city events. If you don't need to stay in the center of Sydney, consider budget-friendly hotels near the airport, or look for smaller roadside motels in the city's South West neighborhood.
